- Plan, execute, and release preventive quality activities for supplied components related to new projects, as well as those involved in engineering change requests (ECR).
- Conduct technical supplier discussions (TSD) with the project team and supplier to clarify part requirements and quality-related project milestones.
- Evaluate and confirm supplier technical capability before supplier awarding.
- Guarantee compliance with the Bosch quality requirements at the supplier and their sub-suppliers during the product development process and for the release.
- Assure that the assigned projects and commodities are qualified according to the existing processes and guidelines and that the timing is met.
- Demonstrate project management skills including planning, prioritizing, monitoring, coordinating, and change and risk management.
- Work closely with purchasing project manager, engineering, and manufacturing, as an active and continuous simultaneous engineering (SE) team member.
- Ensures an environment that fosters collaboration and effective working relationships within the cross-functional SE team.
- Demonstrates commitment to empowerment, development, diversity, and inclusion in an assigned area and across business units.
- Deploy lessons learned and coordinate activities to continuously improve the Preventive Quality and release process.
- Execute process assessment and capacity confirmation (Run@Rate ) at the supplier.
- Define and follow up the Early Production Containment (EPC) and Safe Launch activities.
- Release Production Part Approval Process (PPAP), the final release of purchased components.
- Direct and coordinate the resolution of quality problems related to supplied components before the start of production (SOP) and during launch maturation.
- Provide support to the team to solve technical versatile quality topics for the allocated components.
- Report preventive quality topics during escalation meetings and to the management team when necessary.
- Engineering degree: industrial, mechanics, mechatronics or similar.
- 5 years of professional experience in project purchasing, supplier quality, manufacturing, engineering or quality management.
- Understanding of quality management and experience with preventive quality processes as well as problem solving tools (8D, 5Why, Shainin, 6Sigma, Kepner-Tregoe, etc...).
- Good project management skills (planning, coordinating, prioritizing and communicating complex tasks within the project team, risk assessment and escalation).
