We are seeking a Senior Python Engineer to develop a toolset for portfolio managers that will enable the analysis of financial data and facilitating informed decision-making based on this analysis.

**About you**:
- Strong engineering experience (we mean it): we believe at least 5 years of software engineering is a good predictor (however, you can challenge this belief)
- Experience using SQL and RDBMS; know how to write requests for relational databases
- Experience designing and writing API by best practices
- Experience working with Docker; can write custom dockerfile
- Experience writing automated tests
- Experience working with AWS or any other cloud ; can use key services for computation, networking, and storage
- Good mathematics knowledge
- Fluent English: for daily communication with native speakers from the U.S.
- Availability until 7 PM CET at least 3 days a week: our product team and end users operate in the Eastern Time Zone, so we need an overlap for effective collaboration. Still, we expect 8h of work daily so you could start later or have breaks.
**Will be a plus**:
- Finance knowledge: no need for deep conceptual understanding, but general knowledge about investment management is a big advantage, specifically equities, back-testing, and financial simulations
- Statistics knowledge is a great advantage
- Experience working with end users/clients directly, figuring out their needs, and delivering end-to-end solutions for them.
- You have experience in engineering data pipelines
- You have worked with Flask / FastAPI or any other web framework,
- You have worked with Kotlin or another backend programming language.
**What a Python Developer will do**:
- Engineer a solution to the problem of an end user: delivering API services / working with datasets and data pipelines / delivering integrations with external systems (depending on the team)
