Job Description As a Senior Quality Engineer, you will implement and execute test plans for Turnitin's suite of products throughout the full software lifecycle. A Senior QA Automation Engineer works within an Agile team to develop and measure quality assurance standards while maintaining and expanding test case and test automation coverage. You will also publish test results, help triage bugs, compose acceptance criteria for stories, and mentor fellow teammates on quality engineering best practices. Works with the team to define, develop and implement quality assurance best practices and procedures: test strategies, test plans, test cases, and other quality-related assessments for their scrum team Participates in all aspects of testing; including functional, regression, integration, and scale testing Works collaboratively with their scrum team during all project stages to provide in-process testing results Designs, writes, executes, and maintains automated and manual tests Augments development teams with enhancing unit and integration tests Performs root cause analysis for issues reported by users and uncovered by test results Investigates, records, triages and tracks defects, and verifies their fixes Participates in major code releases as required Participates in code review process Stays up-to-date with new testing tools and test strategies Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, related discipline or equivalent experience 5 years of quality assurance for cloud-based applications, large-scale web applications, single-page applications, either for consumer-facing sites or software as a service Knowledge of front-end test automation best practices and tools, in particular Selenium WebDriver Experience working collaboratively with cross-functional Agile teams Expertise in JAVA (development and framework creation) Experience with integrating automated testing process with continuous integration tools, in particular Jenkins and Bit Bucket Strong knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools and processes Experience testing web services/APIs, and the automation thereof Excellent organizational and communication skills Proactive working style with the ability to adapt to change High proficiency in English Additional Information Our Mission is to ensure the integrity of global education and meaningfully improve learning outcomes.
