Eaton's IS VEH EMB division is currently seeking a Senior Resident Engineer.
**What you'll do**:
**PRIMARY FUNCTION**
Plan, support, coordinate, and lead the activities associated with immediate response to Customer quality concerns.
Act as the interface between the customer and plants.
Communicate information to CV North America region.
Develop and maintain processes that support the Customer Satisfaction, QMS, and interfaces with our OEM customer quality teams.
Ensure processes meet the requirements of customer, IATF16949/ISO9001, and EQS by working with customers and Eaton facilities to meet customer needs.
Provide leadership to Eaton facilities related to customer quality and expectations.
Customer 8D and corrective actions follow up, review customer portals
**ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS**
Support improvement of key quality metrics (ZMPD PPM, Warranty, Internal PPM, etc.)
regionally.
a.
Support 8D issues that impact the region.
b.
Support a Six Sigma project whose scope is regional.
c. Support Kaizen events or BPIs where his/her expertise is required.
B.
Front line for Customer communication for Quality concerns:
b.
Coordinate customer containment activities including at Eaton plants.
c. Support customer focus process by coordinating the communication between the customers and Eaton (also vice versa)
C. Within OEM: Prepares and presents both reactive and proactive Quality Improvement Plan presentations within region, including:
a.
Coordinate submission of 8D's when needed.
b.
Support OEM PPM roadmap
c. Support and coordinate containment activities and problem solving.
D. Within Eaton: Manages containment and corrective actions in order to:
a.
Support customer focus
b.
Improve customer satisfaction
c. Review and resolve discrepancies between OEM and Eaton Quality scorecards.
d. Maintain and communicate Customer Satisfaction to the organization
E. Support Customer Focus processes within region.
a.
Perform as a back-up when Customer Focus meeting review lead is absent.
F. Support Fresh Eyes audits as required.
G. Support changes to Customer Specific Requirements.
H. Perform relationship reviews with customers.
I.
Build relationships with customers through proactive visits to OEM Facilities
J.
Participate in and leads OEM Installation assessments as needed.
K. Support New Product Launch activities at customer plants.
L. Support New Product Launch activities at EATON plants.
M. Support Quality Activities at EATON plant.
N. Support activities of current production products at customer plants
**Qualifications**:
- Engineering Professional Degree.
- 3-5 years of experience in Quality Assurance and Quality Management Systems inside a manufacturing environment
- Experience in QMS and industry standards such as ISO 9001:2015, IATF 16949:2016,
- Core Tools (APQP and CP, FMEA, SPC, MSA) and PPAP
- Spoken and written communication skills (Bilingual, fluent in both Spanish and English)
- Internal Auditor Certified
- Problem Resolution tools experience
- Computer skills
