Position Overview: The Senior Security Test Engineer will be responsible for testing the security controls of existing and newly developed applications by the Mobile & Cloud Software Engineering group. This position will involve developing automation for testing mobile software and cloud-based services and will report to the Sr. Director of Product Cyber Security. Responsibilities: Automate the test suite of mobile and/or web service security test cases. Incorporate the mobile security automation into an existing automation framework. Work closely with the software development team to identify and correct defects. Develop and maintain test cases for validation tests of software revisions. Document and report testing and remediation activities in accordance with Insulet standard operation procedures and compliance requirements. Collaborate with Development, QA and IT teams. Participate in product design reviews. Perform other duties as required. Preferred Skills And Competencies: Experience in Mobile App Testing (manual & automation) and/or Web Services Testing. Experience with test automation frameworks for mobile and/or web services, including but not limited to Appium, Cucumber, Selenium, Cypress, Espresso, Katalon. Python programming experience is required. Strong understanding of application layer protocols (TCP/IP, UDP) and network and socket communications. Proficiency with source control and CI/CD systems. In-depth knowledge of software testing methodology, test development, and test execution. Familiarity with application security concepts in mobile, web services, and networking. Familiarity with Linux and Git. Education and Experience: BS in Software Engineering, Computer Science or similar field. 5 years of experience in software design and software testing. 5 years hands-on experience in testing web-based and/or mobile software applications. Experience working with multiple stakeholders such as engineering/operations teams during the software development lifecycle. Possess strong writing and communication skills.
