We are looking for someone with a wide breadth of knowledge, experience, and interest in a range of technology domains. We deal with many different technologies; a desire to learn and ahunger to work on challenging projects is a must.This is a senior role that can drive initiatives to completion and find solutions to complex problems. With a team of Site Reliability Engineers you will help create best practices for our SRE teams in all areas of observability including monitoring, alerting, logging, and related instrumentation, all while working closely with engineering teams.**Key Responsibilities**:- Act as technical lead of a team of 3-5 Site Reliability Engineers focused on all aspects of observability- Lead and contribute to design, develop, and improve logging, monitoring, and alerting- Help integrate and build client libraries and work with product developers to expose and collect metrics- Coordinate with SRE and developers to make use of this tooling- Participate in an on-call rotation supporting production systems- Mentor engineers and help develop their careers and technical skills- Work across teams to provide architectural guidance and to drive large projects**Qualifications**:- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent work experience- 7+ years of experience in Software Engineering- Expertise with containerization and container orchestration- A passion for automation- Strong understanding of and experience with SRE and DevOps principles- Solid understanding of microservices environments and distributed systems- Able to clearly communicate technical concepts to a wide audience**So, why Nextiva?**Nextiva is a trailblazer in the Voice over IP (VoIP) and Unified Communications as a Service (UCaaS) industries
