Senior Software Dev Engineer, (Amazon Smart Vehicle)

4+ years of professional software development experience
- 3+ years of programming experience with at least one software programming language
- 2+ years of experience contributing to the system design or architecture (architecture, design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and current systems
- Experience as a mentor, tech lead OR leading an engineering team

Job summary

The Role:
As a Senior Software Development Engineer, you will conceive, design and deliver innovative features that will be deployed to high volume consumer products.
You will work closely with internal interdisciplinary teams and outside partners to drive key aspects of feature definition, execution and test.
You will influence the technology decisions that will drive future products and features that directly affect our growth in this critical space.
In this role, you will:

- Be responsible for architecting, developing, and delivering features for new and existing products
- Investigate, prototype and deliver innovative solutions
- Work in an Agile/Scrum environment to deliver high quality software
- Work with product management and cross-functional teams to build and ship technical solutions for the best customer experiences
- 10+ years of embedded software development experience using C/C++
- 4+ years of experience in Linux or Android platforms
- Good understanding of Hardware Abstraction Layers (HAL), Android or Linux frameworks
- Previous experience in automotive industry is a plus
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Demonstrated ability to mentor other developers
- Ability to drive innovation and passionate about new technologies
- Proven ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team
