Oracle NoSQL Database Cloud Service is now a fully managed database service running on Gen 2 Oracle Cloud Infrastructure hardware.
The Oracle NoSQL Database is focused on delivering extremely predictable single digit millisecond latencies to simple queries at scale. NoSQL Databases are widely used in the areas of Internet of Things, UI Personalization, real time fraud detection, consumer scale apps, and online gaming. Some of the world's largest companies trust their NoSQL workloads to the Oracle NoSQL Database platform.
We are a relatively small team, so our members get to take on big challenges in a space that is continuing to expand and change rapidly, giving our team a unique ability to be forward looking, think out of the box, adopt latest and greatest APIs and open source libraries, contribute to the open source community, and stay abreast of developments in the world of large scale distributed systems. Our goal is delight all developers that interact with our APIs and system. We think hard and deep, we are decisive, and we move quickly. We are a start-up within the larger Oracle eco-system, so we are scrappy and we figure out how to make amazing things happen with small numbers of people.
Career Level - IC4
Ideally you have experience in all three of these areas, but there aren't many like that. But maybe you have one or two of the three and really want to learn about what DevOps really means and get experience in all three. If so, let's talk. For instance, maybe you've done Development and some CI/CD but the operations piece was left to the operations people in your group. That's ok. You can learn the operations piece. Or maybe you've done the operations work and you want to move further towards the CI/CD and Development. That's ok. We can move you there.
Maybe you're an individual contributor with aspirations for leading a group as a technical lead. Let's talk. We want to build the group with people all around the world and we need strong technical leaders who know about distributed systems, have deep experience in troubleshooting networking and OS issues, can do Root Cause Analyses, and identify new metrics for monitoring. What's that you say? You have experience in cloud infrastructure? Even better.
Maybe you're a manager, the hands on type, and you want to take on a bigger challenge, maybe working with a distributed group all around the world. Maybe you want the prospect of moving further down the stack into database kernel work. Let's talk.
One final requirement: you should have strong written and verbal communications skills. This is something that is hard to teach so we really want you to bring this to the party right up front.
If you bring the right energy, motivation, and skills to the table, we'll help shape the job to you.
