**What Big Data Service is**:Oracle Big Data Service is a fully handled, automated cloud service that provides enterprises with a cost-effective Hadoop environment. Customers easily create secure and scalable Hadoop-based data lakes that can quickly process large amounts of data.

**Key Points**:Enables customers to deploy Hadoop clusters of all sizes, with VM shapes ranging from 1 OCPU to dedicated bare metal environments. Customers choose between high-performance NVMe storage or cost-effective block storage and can grow or shrink their clusters. It also simplifies the process of making Hadoop clusters both highly available and secure.

- BS or MS or equivalent experience in Computer Science or a related technical field
- Proven experience in software development.
- Solid understanding of data structures, algorithms, & distributed systems.
- Strong programming skills in Python or a related language
- Experience working with distributed systems
- Take initiative and be responsible for delivering complex software
- Excellent problem solver, analytical thinker and quick learner
