.**About the team**: The Performance Team's Mission is to enable and partner with core engineering teams across ZG to make our brands the best in class for web and native app performance.Performance is an ongoing and all-hands endeavor that must be shared by all product owners and engineering, but through partnerships and education the team aims to:Define core performance metrics goals in collaboration with product teams; we will only optimize for what we can objectively measureHelp evaluate opportunities for performance improvements and implement improvementsBuild measurement and monitoring for key performance metrics, including competitive benchmarkingTurnOnTheLights to engagement ROI and impacts as measured in AB results from performance optimizations and ongoing feature development.Identify appropriate performance goals and budgets to become a market leader in user perceived performanceCreate and manage build-time, runtime performance tools**About the role**:This role will primarily support front end teams collect, monitor, and understand performance metrics and how they relate to positive or negative user experiences. The position primarily supports front end web development teams, but also provides occasional support to back end services and app development.While the role will frequently interact with front end web development teams, the knowledge skills employed in this position will be more focused around how pages initialize, how pages report back metrics, and how to improve those metrics, and less on creating or updating user facing content like writing HTML or CSS.Example project would include:1. Updating our metric collection backend to work with our latest data collection processes, or expand which pages can use said system.2. Helping teams identify and resolve performance bottlenecks or regressions.3. Developing new tools or best practices for teams to improve or avoid regressing performance gains.This role has been categorized as a teleworker position. Teleworkers do not have a permanent corporate office workplace and, instead, work from a physical location of their choice which must be identified to the Company.
