Senior Specialist - System Management

A PostgreSQL DBA is an expert in managing the PostgreSQL database system.
Work Mode: Hybrid in Mexico City.
Responsibilities:Create the objects in the database such as triggers, indexes, etc.Monitor the performance of the database and ensure optimum performance.Identify potential issues in the database to solve them early.Hands-on in PostgreSQL migrations from other RDBMS.Hands-on in PostgreSQL Native replications.Knowledge on Auto Vacuum jobs and Customized VACUUM on certain tables and columns.Maintain backups and perform disaster recovery in case a disaster destroys the database.Monitor security and prevent any unauthorized access to the database.Schedule consistent maintenance on the server.Give best practice guidance to the development team.Resolve any production data issues.Tablespace management.Develop automation technologies to accelerate the process of data loading.Develop relational databases.Manage user access and permissions by adding and removing users as required.Maintain the database using different utilities, including using pg_ctl and psql.Database Recovery.Installation and Maintenance.Database Administration, Backups, Performance Tuning, Security, Data Modelling.Troubleshooting.Knowledge and hands-on with Shell and Perl scripting.Available for 24x7 support and able to handle the P1/P2 MI calls.Abiding by ITIL v4 framework.Job Segment: DBA, Database, Cloud, Manager, Technology, Management.
