The Senior Tax Manager role's primary responsibilities include:Providing advisory and operational support across Microsoft and manage engagement with tax authorities concerning LATAM tax matters.Advising in a collaborative role with a broad mandate to support Microsoft business and go-to-market strategies globally.QualificationsRequired qualifications:Bachelor's Degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Tax, Law, or related field AND tax compliance, tax accounting, tax audit management or tax advisory experienceOR Advanced Degree (e.G., Master's in Business, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Taxation or related field; J.D.; LL.M. in Taxation) AND tax compliance, tax accounting, tax audit management or tax advisory experienceOR equivalent experience.6+ years of indirect tax advisory experience6+ years of relevant experience in taxes across LATAM; Fluency in English or SpanishPreferred qualifications:Bachelor's Degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Tax, Law, or related field AND 12+ years tax compliance, tax accounting, tax audit management or tax advisory experienceOR Advanced Degree (e.G., Master's in Business, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Taxation or related field; J.D.; LL.M. in Taxation) AND 11+ years tax compliance, tax accounting, tax audit management or tax advisory experienceJD, CPA or Masters in Taxation preferred; Desired fluencyin Brazilian Portuguese.Experience in both industry and law firm / Big 4 accounting firm highly desired; Strong partnering capabilities with proven ability to develop meaningful relationships with cross-functional stakeholders and to influence and collaborate across groups; Ability to think end-to-end from strategic planning through multi-year execution; Excellent oral and written communication and analytical skills; ability to communicate complex analysis in a clear, simple way; Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with experience exercising mature judgment and best practices; Proven success managing and prioritizing multiple projects across a fast-paced and continually changing environment; Highly organized, self-motivated and autonomous with ability to quickly identify prioritization and execute efficiently.ResponsibilitiesAdvise on all tax matters throughout LATAM.Perform legal research and analysis on a variety of LATAM tax issues
