.**Location**- Monterrey, Mexico**Job ID**- 0000009678**Category**- Finance**If you have experience working with taxes and are looking to make your next career move**:This might be the opportunity for bringing your skills and help your team to achieve the best results for a great organization within the LEGO Group!**Play your part in our team success**:The Sr Tax Manager role is part of the LEGO Group's Global Strategic Tax & Customs (GSTC) team, which is overall accountable for all taxes.This role has a deep compromise to support the operations area with a sense of urge, safety, and quality to bring the most possible children into play, always with a great attitude as a customer service area we also need to be responsible and focused to deliver on time new installations, so we can keep growing and take part in the LEGO story.**Core Responsibilities**:This position will be accountable for taxes across The LEGO Group - including customs, corporate income tax, indirect taxes & environmental taxes. This role sits within the Business Advisory part of GSTC, reporting to the Senior Tax Director, who is based in Enfield, CT.Will evaluate and advise on general day-to-day matters and on the tax impact for projects and ad hoc advisories related to manufacturing operations in Mexico and will work closely with Planning & Structuring tax team and the business to implement the long-term strategy for operations.Will supervise Mexico tax legislation ensuring we are on top of all local legislations. This includes (together with Tax Policy Director) ensuring inputs are provided to legislators so we can live up to our tax responsibility agenda of proactively supporting balanced tax rules.**Do you have what it takes?**:- 7+ years of work experience in tax, preferably some of which spent in-house, as well as time with a professional firm.- Ability to handle different tax types is preferred (such as VAT, employment tax, property tax, etc)- Familiarity with tax incentives /exemptions for manufacturing.- Travel required - roughly 10%- SAP knowledge is preferred.- Good communication skills English / Spanish**Join the global LEGO® team**We strive to create a diverse, dynamic and inclusive culture of play at the LEGO Group, where everyone feels safe, valued and they belong.The LEGO Group is proud to be an equal opportunity and an affirmative action employer.
