Job Description Objective Generate sensory and consumer insights, giving support to the Sensory Manager and Specialist by planning, executing and reporting the required tests.
This person also actively contributes to assessment of the sensory panels (external and internal) performance, and supports in the administration and management of the sensory laboratory and room.
Role Dimensions The SCI Analyst work closely with the SCI Manager and SCI Specialist to achieve project and area objectives.
Collaborates in multidisciplinary teams and other SCI team members in the LATAM Region.
Figures as panel leader.

Responsibilities As part of the SCI team, the Sensory Analyst must work closely to the SCI Manager and the Sensory Specialist complying with the committed activities of the area to achieve the objectives of the projects.Perform sensory descriptive, discriminative and consumer tests, following the guidelines of the brief, in order to achieve the project objectives.
This includes activities such as panel training, data collection, analysis, and reporting/presenting results.
Assure the correct testing methods following SCI best practices to execute sensory and consumer tests.
In addition, keep updated the methodologies of the area through the implementation of new methodologies under supervision of the Sensory Specialist and Manager.Administrate and update the Symscript® collection, making sure that all materials are available for the panel training and tests.Execute the sensory and consumer tests in a safe and hygienic condition, ensuring the innocuity in sample preparation, conditioning and presentation, according to the required design.Assure the quality of the sensory information generated by sensory panels (internal and external) through trainings and the performance assessment program.Contribute to the exchange of knowledge and ideas with the Regional and Local SCI teams, promoting the net-working within the area.Execute day by day activities under the sustainability and safety guidelines and objectives of the company.Register and update the sensory tests and consumer research in PACE/CX, SharePoint and SCI tests database.Together with the SCI Specialist support the administration of the laboratory managing the product and materials inventory, including the incentives for the sensory panels.
Requisitions Two years of experience in the sensory and consumer areas working in the food industry with solid bases and understanding of the area.Food Chemist DegreeAdvanced English level (written and spoken), easiness to share and express his ideas and make presentations in this language.Technical knowledge: Sensory methodologies and programs (Fizz, Compusense or Eye Question), consumer research methods, and data analysis (XLStat, mini tab, etc.).
