Let's make this big world into SmallWorld.The Server Administration Engineer will ensure that servers of the organization are runningefficiently by performing upgrading and maintenance tasks on hardware and software, resolvingtechnical problems, overseeing their activity levels, ensuring server security, and developing newsystem structures when necessary.The role holder will work closely with all the Platform team to manage all the infrastructure onpremise and cloud to ensure their smooth functioning, keeping track of data entering or exitingthe organization. Because of the nature of this job, the Server Administrator needs to beprepared to report to work round-the-clock, and have excellent communication (written and oral)skills.Reporting to the Head of Infrastructure platform, the Server Management team will define withArchitecture team and deliver the overall vision, standards, practices and technical solutions thatensure Small World can work in an on premise and cloud solution.We are recruiting talented engineers that can help us in the short term to deliver our backlogs inthe existing platform and in the near future, to help us migrating and modernizing our systems toa new architecture yet to be defined.**Your Responsibilities**- Maintain, configure and monitor our on premise and cloud-based assets (Red HatEnterprise Linux, Windows servers, IBM TSM) to ensure all systems are properlyconfigured, fully patched, and operating as designed- Document all facets of system configuration and operation- Work with other members of our team to improve your skillset and to help us makeour team even stronger- Perform regular backup and restore operations and to help implement appropriateprocesses for data protection, disaster recovery, and failover procedures- Have strong knowledge of many operating system between Windows and Linux. As IT professional, the role holder also has to be on top of the latest developments in technology to understand how to work with new hardware and software, recommend upgrades, modifications, and improvements
