About the job:
The role of the Service & Commissioning Engineer will be to lead and coordinate activities at customer sites in support of service and capital projects on skids and larger systems for Food Systems. In the absence of on-site activities, focus will be on supporting execution of service and capital projects as well as design and process improvement.
As a part of the team, you will:
- Perform site inspections & installation supervision prior to commissioning activities.- Participate in performance or process audits and drive trouble shooting.- Perform pre-commissioning and commissioning activities on customer sites.- Provide training to operators on customer sites.- Run pilot tests to collect data for system design.- Manage after sales service upgrades/ modifications in existing systems- Take part in customer meetings during startup, testing and site activities.- Report site activities to stakeholders through daily reports.- Take part in software FAT to ensure it is according to expectations.- Provide online assistance connecting to customer's controls system remotely.
What you know:
You have BS degree with relevant experience, and:
- BS in Chemical/Mechanical/Electrical engineering or related experience.
- Five (5) years of relevant experience with project/process engineering, commissioning, or field service experience.
- Experience with evaporation systems, aseptic equipment, and edible oil processes is a plus.
- Worked in International set-up with good cross-cultural perspective is an advantage.
- Networking capabilities, organizational skills & cross-cultural understanding.
- Ready to travel up to 60% within & outside the USA.
- Capable of independently coordinating activities on site
