ABOUT THE TEAM
This role sits within our Enterprise Technology Services (ETS) team who are accountable for all Infrastructure, Security, IT Operations and all End User Services and technologies. This group will ensure that our IT Services are flawless and secure, and that technology is delivered in an efficient, effective, and agile way, with a solid focus on experience. The ETS ServiceNow team supports and develops the ITSM/ITOM/ITAM modules of the ServiceNow.
ROLE OVERVIEW
As a Junior ServiceNow developer for ITSM, you will be responsible for developing, configuring, and customizing the ITSM modules of ServiceNow according to business requirements. You will be part of an agile development team supporting the ITSM product owners and collaborating with federated ServiceNow technical teams. You will also provide some assistance with ITOM and ITAM modules.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
· Development and configuration: Contribute to the development and configuration of ServiceNow modules and applications, ensuring adherence to best practices and established coding standards. Implement business smart customizations as needed to meet specific requirements. Work with the ETS Technical lead to obtain the necessary approvals
· Technical Capability: Deliver clean, efficient, and maintainable code. Perform unit testing and quality control checks to guarantee maximum efficiency and productivity
· ServiceNow Administration and support: Troubleshooting technical issues related to ITSM to address and resolve/mitigate incidents and problems. Proactive identification of problems and suggesting areas for improvement
· Documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive technical documentation, including design specifications, implementation plans, and user guides
· Stakeholder Engagement: Engage with stakeholders, business leaders, and end-users to understand their needs, gather feedback, and continuously improve the ITSM solutions
· Training and Knowledge Sharing: Participate and support training sessions and knowledge-sharing activities to empower end-users and internal teams to leverage the ITSM functionality effectively
ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE
· Development and configuration experience on ServiceNow
· Working knowledge and hands on experience with ITSM
· Flow Designer: Creating / maintaining existing flows, sub-flows, actions
· Scripting: Comfortable writing custom server-side and client-side scripts
· Experience or knowledge of Agile way of working and ITIL.
· Solid working experience of developing and maintaining Service Catalogs
· Comfortable collaborating with cross functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions within the ServiceNow platform
· Experience working a Support role fulfilling BAU activities
· ServiceNow Administration Certification (CSA)
· Ability to learn new technologies and adapt to changing business requirements
DESIRABLE SKILLS
· Exposure to ITOM (event management and Discovery)
· Knowledge of CMDB and CSDM model
· Experience with building and refactoring legacy applications in ServiceNow
· Knowledge of App Engine Studio (AES) including building and supporting custom applications
· ServiceNow certified application development (CAD)
