Assess and evaluate suppliers and undertake performance reviews to ensure contract compliance and manage performance improvement activities.- Ensure continuous supply of required goods and materials and communicate any supply problems which may pose a risk or impact on business operations.- Research and evaluate areas of opportunity and reduce costs where possible.- Drives continuous improvement with suppliers and within Purchasing practices and tool set.- Maintain KPI metrics on performance, and delivery.- Analyzes purchase price variances and assists in the development of standard product costs.- Deliver briefs, updates, and reports as and when required.- Must have knowledge of legal practices and compliance systems including ISO- Attends production meetings for assigned product lines and understand materials impact.- Ensure compliance to company guidelines, purchasing policies and procedures.- MRP knowledge/ concept and the functionality
