The four key areas that you'll always focus on are the safety, quality, customer experience, and productivity of your Operation.This role requires working with multiple business and technical teams across the company to manage successful On The Road (OTR) performance, driving continuous improvement and enhancing carrier performance. The candidate must be effective in influencing leadership across customer service operations, technology teams, multiple support teams, multiple carrier partners and senior leadership.Job specifics:Continual standing and/or walking an average of 5 miles daily.Availability to work in construction/distribution environments that may be noisy, unlit, unheated, not air-conditioned.Availability to work a flexible schedule/shift/work area, including weekends, nights, and/or holidays.Key Job Responsibilities:Lead a team of Process Assistants and Delivery Service Providers (DSPs) in daily management of the delivery station, including meetings, training sessions, assigning job duties, and communicating with DSPs including management representatives and their drivers.Review the operational forecast and determine productivity requirements for sort operation, manage a team group to meet all building's goals.Support all safety programs to ensure a safe work environment for all associates and DSPs.Proactively identify and lead process improvement initiatives and Lean tools.Train and develop people.Implement Continuous Improvement Projects.Build bonds between all stakeholders and peers.Monitor and audit plans for DSPs including staffing, schedules, quality initiatives, and performance levels.Promote best practice and continuous process improvements across your team in areas like health and safety and productivity.Ensure there is on-the-road capacity for deliveries including during peak business times.Help to pilot new service types on-site, such as electric vehicles and cargo bikes.Carry out performance reviews with DSPs.About the Team:Amazon Logistics, or AMZL, handles 'last mile' delivery duties in partnership with third-party distribution businesses
