As Supplier Quality Engineer, you will conduct supplier qualification and development. Daily experience with Generation Core Engine parts with high technical/quality level. You will be working in a close networking environment with different departments locally and globally, closely collaborating with the global SCM process. SQE uses digitalization tools to improve our processes and addresses nonconformances by conducting containment, RCA, and implementing preventative measures & risk mitigation measures.
How You'll Make an ImpactSupplier Qualification: Implement and control the support of the multi-functional supplier selection team with required quality data; conduct supplier audit and supplier capability or capacity audit and assessment of supplier risk.Product and Process Qualification: Lead multi-functional teams to perform Product and Process Qualification (PPQ) according to applicable process descriptions and standards. Support the supplier quality measures along the complete process chain.Supplier Quality Management: Planning, implementation, optimization, and controlling of the efficiency of the defined Supplier Quality Management Process (procedures, guidelines, and tools) to ensure the requested quality. Coaching suppliers to follow Siemens Energy Quality Management Process and usage related tools.Initiate and implement supplier quality improvement programs, quality root cause analysis, and implementation of appropriate risk mitigation measures at the supplier. Track implementation and efficiency of measures.Design Review and Improvement (supplier early involvement): Participate in design reviews as the main interface of SQM with design engineers. Conduct design reviews with suppliers for new designs. Support DTL (design to localization) and Design to Cost efforts.What You BringBachelor of Science Degree required in mechanical, electrical, industrial engineering, or a similar field. Master's Degree desired. Equivalent combination of education, training, and experience will be considered.8+ years of experience with a minimum of 5 years proven experience in a technical field and/or working in Supply Chain. Candidates with more experience can be considered for a higher level or vice-versa.Experience in leading projects and running virtual multi-functional teams in an international environment. You are a self-starter, motivated, and self-reliant; your organization, strategic, analytical thinking, leading skills, and intercultural expertise round out your profile.Knowledge in welding and coating. CWI certification preferred. NACE (AMPP / FROSIO) certification preferred. Knowledge of ISO & ASME Standards.Open-minded, results & solution-oriented, and strong analytical thinking.
