**SIMOPS PTW CONTROLLER / COORDINATOR** required by our Client, an Oil and Gas Operator, to be assigned on a Contract basis, located in Ensenada, MX.
**DURATION** **12 months on-going**
**PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Facilitate for Project activities the Client policies and procedures regarding control of work on the Existing Facilities, specifically Client permitting of activities and any potential for SIMOPs planning
- Ensures that the Client OPTW process is known, understood and actively implemented by those throughout the Phase 1 Project team (both Client representatives and Contractor)
- Accesses and utilizes the Project schedule and specifically the Contractor 3-week Lookahead (or other format as necessary) to assist in determining if upcoming Project activities have the potential to be impacted by Client approvals
- Liaises directly with Client Pre-commissioning and Commissioning Site Lead, Start-Up Lead and Commissioning discipline Leads regarding ongoing Contractor site activities and upcoming field interfaces
- Actively supports Job Safety Analysis (JSA)/ safety reviews. Ensures that JSAs for all Project activities are in place prior to work start. Coordinates with Client HSE team to address any readiness issues
- Attends the Client periodic planning meetings to describe and represent Project activities to the coordinating team. Ensures that any identified issues or SIMOPs concerns are proactively returned to the Site Management team for action
- Interfaces with Operations team to align their daily responsibilities and specific personnel needed for an early work start of Project activities in Existing Facilities. Ensures that approvers of all permit types (general as well as Client's Hazardous Work Permits - OHWPs) are engaged and prepared to support
- Ensures that Contractor representatives have access to all Client process tools so that they can prepare, review and submit OPTW for their activities. Manages the Client portal access for the electronic permit platform as well as the OHWP forms as needed
- Provides technical support and assistance in activity planning, readiness checks, coordinating and team representation for Project activity within the Client Property and specifically the Existing Facilities
- Assesses any Contractor activities within Contractor-controlled areas that may potentially impact Client-controlled areas or Client's activities within or adjacent to Contractor-controlled areas
- Coordinates the necessary permitting (Client or Contractor) for any Client E&C third party activities to be performed on the Property or the Existing Facilities
- Accumulates Permit information history and develops charts and diagrams to demonstrate trends and issues to Site Management and the wider Owner management team
- Supports the Client's Site Records Management Procedure for any pertaining documentation. Assists in its implementation and proposes improvements as necessary
- Performs other duties as assigned (no more than 10% of duties)
