Role: Site Search Engineer Location: Guadalajara Mexico
Responsibilities
Create a robust on-site search strategy for HP's digital direct business
Own on-site search regionally, contributing to company-wide knowledge by sharing the best practices with the stakeholders
Always ensure best relevancy for the on-site searches
Continuously increase the click through rate and conversion rate for the keywords being searched on the stores
Continuous optimization of the search bar results (pinning, boost, bury, synonyms, popular search keywords, redirects etc.)
Optimization of search result page (SRP) - Facet optimization, product spotlights, category links, promotion banners, campaigns etc.)
Plan and execute upsell & cross-sell campaign on various real estates on the stores by leveraging the tool's capabilities
Work together with e-commerce merchandising teams on a roadmap and create and execute optimization activities
Perform keyword research in coordination with business objectives to optimize existina on-site search experience and define new opportunities
Address paint points for the search keywords and improve the relevancy/results accordingly
Quality control-making sure of the best relevancy and end to end experience (Audit & Analyze)
Provide feedback to merchandising team on the performance of keywords. Recommend plans to improve the click through rate of low performing keywords
Minimize the search result pages with 0 results to avoid exits from the onlinestores
Communicate performance and initiative status to stakeholders in monthly ??? business reviews
Stay on the top of the trends related to search and on-site search optimization and leverage applicable practices to fuel growth on the HP online store ecosystem
Leverage the tool to personalize on-site search experiences based on user behavior, browsing history etc.
Needed: Data Analytics + Campaign management knowledge + Data Obsession
Technical Aspects: Not much technical knowledge, little bit of SQL Knowledge, web analytics (HTML) is a plus
No interaction with SEO Team. Only interaction with Merchandizing + Adv teams NPI and campaigns. Analyzing Google analytics Data and making insights.
Subset of ecomm merchandizing. Store operations experience
