As a Site Security Manager at Micron Technology, Inc., you will be responsible for direct supervision of security personnel at a Micron site. These personnel may be Micron Team Members or contracted security staff. You will supervise local security programs, intended to reduce the risk to Micron personnel and assets including access control, loss prevention, workplace violence prevention, intelligence gathering, threat analysis, countermeasure deployment, alarm point and closed circuit television applications, risk assessment, and investigations. In addition, you will serve as the principal security resource to the Site.
As the Security Supervisor, you will lead and monitor performance of the security officers on duty and activate additional resource support under changing operational conditions. You are to administer security systems, policies and procedures in compliance with Company directives, guidelines, and the law.
Responsibilities and TasksSupervise Site Security Programs and SystemsAdminister physical security operations for the siteMaintain knowledge of and apply company safety, labor, and ethics policiesCommunicate requirements to applicable team membersOversee execution of required training for direct reportsIdentify and resolve and/or report potential safety, security, and labor issuesConduct monitoring through installed surveillance systemsParticipate in the development of global security policiesConduct physical security risk assessments on an annual basis and in alignment with corporate guidelinesConsult Regional Security Manager on investigations, as appropriate, in keeping with corporate requirementsMaintain security systems and equipment to ensure effective operational resilience in the protection of Micron assets and ensure proper reporting of malfunction for prompt repair/replacementAdminister general and emergency communication systems to include management of the Security Control Room, where applicable, and Lobby operationsMonitor the Performance of Site SecurityEnsure officers adhere to duty post and relief schedulesMake changes to duty assignments based on operational or business needsProvide appropriate support security service or assistance to other functional groups by following standard methodologies in security.Track guards' adherence to security post orders (or contract expectations) by using critical metrics that measure performance.Monitor and ensure implementation and maintenance of a security personnel training programManage Team Member PerformanceProvide communication regarding job expectations and changesCoach and provide career developmentEstablish goals and monitor performance achievementConduct performance appraisalsCollect, review, and provide verbal and written performance feedback for continual developmentManage employee performance and resolve conflictProvide recognitionBuild an Effective TeamPrioritize work, remove barriers, and drive for accountabilityManage team staffing and successionDistribute work and learning opportunitiesEmpower team members and promote teamworkProvide line of sight to strategic objectivesOversee Functional Area Service DeliveryProvide consultation on work execution and problem solvingAssist in resolving complex issues and offer mentorship for resolution.Coordinate and communicate policy and proceduresEnsure team members receive accurate training in accordance with department compliance and work requirements.Identify and implement system and process improvementsDevelop, monitor, and report performance metricsPromote Internal/External Teamwork and Provide Project SupportEstablish and manage positive relationships with key internal partnersEstablish and maintain relationships with local law enforcement and security providersMaintain a proactive and customer-focused approachAct as liaison between team and customer groupSupport department performance improvement and cost reduction activitiesLead or participate in special projectsAssist others with workloadsMentor cross-functional team membersPromote partnership across functional areas and customer groupsRequired EducationAssociates Degree in the security field or a minimum of 5 years experience as a security supervisor and 5 years military or law enforcement experience.
