It connects a diverse client base to local markets and the organization's extensive global network.The LADA Project Finance team is seeking to hire an Associate.ResponsibilitiesContributes to the development and implementation of a long-term business and marketing strategy/business plan for the Employer of Project Finance business in Mexico.Contributes to the development and implementation of an annual business plan for Employer's Project Finance.Contributes to the marketing, origination, structuring and execution of project finance transactions for LADA.Participates in the due diligence process to ascertain the viability of the underlying transaction.Prepares all necessary materials for the credit approval process.Interfaces with lenders, sponsors, lawyers, and all relevant parties during the execution process, to facilitate the final closing of deals, including the negotiation of credit agreements and all other related loan documentation.Collaborates with other product departments as needed throughout the deal process.Mentors and coaches less junior bankers to ensure they are continuing to learn new skills and are exposed to different aspects of the deal process.Qualifications and Skills3-5 years experience in project finance or a related field.Additional RequirementsSMBC's employees participate in a Hybrid workforce model that provides employees with an opportunity to work from home, as well as from an SMBC office.
