.We are looking for a quality engineer who can support the implementation of advanced quality strategies, be part of the definition of quality procedures and methods in areas as suppliers, incoming materials, production and warehouse. The quality engineer will be responsible for ensuring the quality of the purchased material as well as the quality of the subassemblies and finished products through all production and warehousing processes.Responsabilities:- Maintain quality control and assurance in production areas as well as warehousing and incoming.- Monitor, analyze and report quality data and metrics to track the performance of the processes and products.- Support the cross-functional teams in problem solving, root cause analysis, corrective and preventive action.- Control of non-conforming products.- Assure the correct equipment validation according to customer requirements.- Perform process and product validation according to customer requirements (PPAP, IQ PQ OQ, FAI, etc)- Improve internal processes continuously, through identification of risk/problems and participation in improvement efforts.- Resolution of supplier quality issues promptly and efficiently.- Initiate and manage supplier corrective actions.- Review incoming supplies and products from vendors to check for defects and ensure quality.- Generate related quality procedures and documentation to support QMS registrations.- Maintain detailed reports on supplier quality, including defect rates and areas that result in defective products or materials.- Perform internal and external audits, based on ISO9001 / ISO13485 requirements as part of internal audit team.- Perform other tasks as required.Qualifications:- Bachelor's degree in engineering, industrial, electric, electronic or related field.- Minimum 3 years of experience as quality engineer in the Electronic PCBA and contract manufacturing industry.- Strong understanding of dimensional measurement methods and tools.- Strong ability to do data analysis, reporting and presentation.- Strong understanding of Quality processes and analytical tools, such as 8D, FMEA, Ishikawa, etc.- Strong knowledge of product and process validation methodologies (PPAP, IQ PQ OQ, FAI, etc)- Proficient computer skills - Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel and PowerPoint.- Understanding of ISO9001 QMS requirements, regulations and best practices in the electronic industry.- Proficient in quality tools and software such as statistical process control (SPC), failure mode and effects analysis (FMEA), control plans, control charts, etc.- Internal auditing qualifications and experience would be an asset.- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.- Experienced with Lean Manufacturing implementation and its advanced quality methodology is a must.- Six sigma certification is a must.- Bilingual, English Spanish is a must
