Job DescriptionThe SMT Specialist Engineer (AOI systems) is responsible for overseeing and optimizing the Electronic Control Unit (ECU) production process. This critical role involves leading a team of local technicians and ensuring the efficient implementation of Automatic Optical Inspections systems (Optical and X-ray) on new surface-mount technology (SMT) processes.Key responsibilities include:Provide strategic leadership to a team of local technicians, ensuring optimal support for ECU production operations.Oversee the implementation and integration of new AOI and AXI equipment (SMD), guaranteeing seamless incorporation into existing production lines.Develop and refine specialized software and programs essential for the successful launch of new products, with a focus on meeting stringent customer quality requirements, minimizing costs, and maximizing manufacturability.Establish and maintain rigorous process specifications to ensure consistent product quality and operational efficiency via appropriate inspection accuracy of systems in responsibility.Implement continuous performance improvement initiatives and cost reduction strategies within the area of responsibility, driving operational excellence and maintaining competitiveness.Collaborate with cross-functional and cross-sites teams to address complex technical challenges and implement innovative solutions in ECU SMT production processes.Ensure strict adherence to automotive industry standards and quality control measures throughout all stages of production in area of responsibilities.QualificationsBachelor's degree in Industrial, Mechatronics, Mechanical, Electrical, or Electronic Engineering.5+ years experience in Automotive Industry, including 3+ years in ECU production and launching ECU lines.3+ years experience in Automotive Quality Standards, Process & Maintenance Engineering.Proven experience troubleshooting AOI and AXI (preferred VISCOM, PEMTRON, KOH YOUNG Technologies) in Lines with CT< 9secs.Leadership experience in managing technical and operational teams.Knowledge of 6 Sigma methodologies preferred.English Advanced.#J-18808-Ljbffr
