BS or MS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area.
- Typically has 5+ years people management or technical lead experience: building and managing high performance platform and/or infrastructure engineering teams, experience across hardware, firmware, and embedded software development across full product life cycles.
- Strong knowledge of operation, Java, and experience with scripting languages such as Python, Perl, etc.
- Strong knowledge of data structures, algorithms, operating systems, and distributed systems fundamentals.
- Working familiarity with networking protocols (TCP/IP, HTTP) and standard network architectures.
- Strong understanding of databases, NoSQL systems, storage and distributed persistence technologies.
- Strong troubleshooting and performance tuning skills.

- Knowledge of datacenter infrastructure constraints including networking, power, space, and cooling and Virtualization technology.

Responsible for the operation of production environments, including systems and databases, supporting critical business operations. Will perform administration and analysis for multiple production environments and recommend new and novel solutions to improve availability, performance, and supportability.
