Software Developer For Embedded Systems Tools

**Job Description Summary**: Our team, Advanced Design Tools, works with different engineering teams in GE Aerospace to help them unleash productivity by developing and maintaining software engineering solutions

We are looking for motivated individuals with a genuine interest and passion for Software Development. In this role you will work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team in an agile/SCRUM model to develop and maintain software solutions mainly, but not limited, for embedded software engineering teams.

**Essential Responsibilities - Internal**
- Working with a multidisciplinary software development team to design, build, test, maintain and deploy software engineering solutions, with guidance.
- Working and communicating effectively in a collaborative environment with internal and external stakeholders.

**Qualifications/Requirements - Internal**
- Bachelor's Degree in Science, Computer Engineering, Electronics, Mechatronics or equivalent
- Awareness of embedded software architectures and communication protocols such as ARINC429
- Experience on embedded systems development and testing
- Experience with at least one object-oriented-programming language such as Python, C++
- Familiar with Agile software development methodologies
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Effective written and oral communication skills in English

**Desired Characteristics - Internal**
- Experience with source code control systems such as Git/Github
- Self-learner with aptitude for acquiring knowledge, skills, and new technologies readily
- Strong team player
- Adaptive to ambiguity and available approach to working in a changing environment
