Ford Diagnosis and Repair System and Integrated Diagnostic System are Ford/Lincoln Technician diagnostic tools that are used by dealers to diagnose and repair vehicles. Ford's service solutions are required to comply with Right to Repiar legislation, and at times, drives changes to current processes. Ford's partnership in a growing number of joint ventures requires us to make our diagnostic tool architecture flexible to an increasing variety of design standards. This will enable to us to offer a common service diagnostic tool in order to maintain high customer satisfaction and Fix It Right The First Time.- BS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Automotive Technology preferred.- 3+ years experience in Java development required.- Working knowledge of vehicle communication protocols desired.- Experience with vehicle link based diagnostics desired.- Project development experience with Ford Agile/Rally desired.- Strong verbal and written communication skills.- Ability to work close with global teams to communicate and agree on desired outcomes.- Ability to deliver results and achieve team consensus/agreement.- Ability to communicate with tool owners to drive change- Maintain and continue development of the Ford Diagnosis and Repair System Escalated Concern Support Tool and Script Runner using both Java and OTX (Open Test Exchange) where appropriate.- Work with the global team to gather requirements to support various alternative repair solutions.- Investigate and communicate opportunities to improve FDRS robustness, useability and efficiency.- Investigate FDRS field concerns as required, and aid in resolution by engaging the broader development team.- Write Rally Defects when problems are found to resolve issues/concerns.- Use Rally to document Features and User Stories to add new content to FDRS.
