But the most important common thread binding our teams is a shared, genuine passion to help our customers achieve greatness.Duties and responsibilities:Design, install, test, and commission automation instrumentation and control systems.Program and integrate various automation technologies into highly integrated systems that utilize robots, vision systems, PLCs, HMIs, etc.Design and develop database and interface applications that integrate our machine control systems with our customer's production and data management systems.Prepare technical documents and design specifications for control systems and installations.Write reports, user/operator manuals, and procedures.Collaborate with Electrical Designers and Mechanical Engineers for all projects.Perform robot setup for process-specific applications.Work within project-defined schedules and budget estimates.Involve in controls, programming, motion, communication systems, electrical design, vision systems, and robotic integration.Attend project review meetings and undertake/give training courses.Represent Shape Process Automation in a professional manner.Travel to commission and support systems at customer facilities (10% - 50% travel may be required).Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Industrial Robotics, Software Development, or equivalent experience.If degreed, must have at least 3 years of relevant industry experience; if not degreed, must have at least 8 years of relevant industry experience.Must have a valid passport and driver's license.Willingness to travel for extended periods of time, primarily to Canada and Mexico.Excellent written and oral communication skills.Solid knowledge of PLCs (Allen Bradley, Studio5000, and RS Logix 500).Familiarity with Siemens, Omron, and Mitsubishi HMIs (Red Lion, Crimson, and Allen Bradley, FactoryTalk View).Robot Programming (Fanuc Karel and Teach Pendant Logic).Equal Opportunity Employer/Protected Veterans/Individuals with DisabilitiesThe contractor will not discharge or in any other manner discriminate against employees or applicants because they have inquired about, discussed, or disclosed their own pay or the pay of another employee or applicant.
