Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related technical discipline
- 7+ years of relevant engineering experience
- 3+ years people management experience or relevant leadership experience
- Understanding of all aspects of software engineering, including coding, architecture, algorithms, and data structures
- Experience with managing the day-to-day activities of an engineering team using Agile/Scrum processes

In this role, you will work closely with senior leaders, stakeholders, software engineers, scientists and product teams across Amazon to drive large cross-org innovations and project delivery activities.
Key job responsibilities
As a software development manager, your responsibilities include:
- Mentoring and developing your team of engineers
- Managing the day-to-day activities of the engineering team within an Agile/Scrum environment
- Collaborate with multiple business stakeholder, engineering and design teams to coordinate, prioritize and deliver to an ambitious roadmap

We are a tight nit and efficient team that delivers automation and optimization supply chain solutions for the Devices ((i.e.
Amazon Echoes, Kindles, FireTV, Ring, etc) organization.
We are specialized in that Amazon Devices develops and owns the product that Amazon is selling on both the Amazon retail site and to external vendors.
- 10+ years of experience developing software
- 5+ years of experience managing people
- Experience building complex software systems that have been successfully delivered to customers
- Experience taking complex projects from initial concept through final launch.
- Exceptional customer relationship skills including the ability to discover the true requirements underlying feature requests and recommend alternative technical and business approaches
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Experience working with supply chain and/or manufacturing operations systems
- Ability to handle multiple competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
