Software Development Manager

**Responsibilities****Required Experience**- BS or MS degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience- Minimum of 6 years of experience as a manager of an Agile software development team- 4+ years of experience leading teams in the development of highly scalable, cloud-based solutions- 4+ years of experience leading teams in a DevOps environment, responsible for designing, building, testing, deploying, and operating their solution- Proven track record of developing engineering talent, growing careers, and teams.- Expert knowledge of work item management tools like Jira, etc.- Working knowledge of containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes, including an understanding of microservices and associated technologies.- Working knowledge of Linux/Unix.- Working knowledge of build automation, continuous integration, or continuous deployment tools such as Git, Jenkins, Maven, Grunt, RunDeck, Ansible, etc.- Solid understanding of databases, storage, and distributed persistence- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present complex information clearly and concisely to all audiences.- Experience with working flexible hours and working with team members in a global setting with distributed time zones.**Desired Experience and Skills**- Scrum or Agile certified- 3+ years of experience in public cloud computing- Working experience with Scaled Agile Framework or related certification- Working experience with Java and JavaScript- Working experience with Infrastructure-as-Code tools like Terraform- Previous experience in physical data center infrastructure and operations is a plus- Strong knowledge of data structures, algorithms, operating systems, and distributed systems.
