Ford is seeking to hire a person with software development or testing skills. This team develops control algorithms and produces code for vehicle features related to climate, starting, locking, lighting, alarms, windows, powered enclosures, and seats. Responsibilities include owning and reviewing requirements, creation of high level functional specification design, and delivery of quality code using Matlab/Simulink or C in an Autosar Classic environment. The engineer must possess solid technical bases to support design reviews for new content, get introduced to vehicle/bread board software issues root cause, and unit test content.Required Qualifications: Understanding of embedded hardware and software designMatlab/Simulink, Jira, and Github basics (Jama a plus)Python, C++ codeFamiliarity or understanding of CAN/Ethernet tools, AutoSAR, and Functional Safety (ISO26262)Capable of working with Arduino or microcontrollersRequired Degree/Major: Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Robotics or a related field of studyBasic knowledge of Matlab/SimulinkBasic knowledge in Algorithm Design for Embedded hardware and/or software designBasic knowledge of vehicle network (CAN/LIN)Preferred Qualifications: Engineer student in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science or a related field of studyResponsibilities:Support functional requirements review for software designLearn about AutoSAR Classic software using Matlab/Simulink and/or C codeHelp with bench assembly and design for software testing (work with welding and joining tools)Understand issues management processSupport test software function using virtual and physical hardwareSupport testing stations setup (work with breadboards, modules, cables, etc)Ford Motor Company is an equal opportunity employer committed to a culturally diverse workforce.
