.Windows Servicing and Delivery (WSD) is to keep a billion Windows customers protected and productive. Our team, Release Analysis and Monitoring (RAM), plays a critical role in this.Imagine a very complex nuclear reactor. Our goal is to synthesize complex into simple. Imagine the Control Center view with green and red lights. If everything is good, the lights are green. As soon as the temperature in chamber X is 2 standard deviations larger than mean, an alert is fired to the right team to fix the issue. This is what our team does for the Windows servicing pipeline. We aggregate signals and states from every Windows servicing artifact, stage, and system, turning something very complex into something very simple, detecting anomalies, providing transparency to Windows leadership, and enabling Release Managers and shiproom to track the entire Windows servicing workflow from bug approvals, check-ins, branch rotations, builds to packaging, various quality signals, publishing, Flighting rings health, Release and Post Release Monitoring. We are a one-stop shop to track the progression, readiness, and exit criteria of the entire Windows servicing. Imagine a big data warehouse behind our system (TrackIt) that aggregates all those signals, enabling rich analysis on top of it. If you are a data expert, enjoy high data scale distributed systems, and are passionate about relational and non-relational DBs, or if you are a UI expert, this is the right team for you!Microsoft's mission is to empower every person and every organization on the planet to achieve more.
