In this role - you will utilize your knowledge, intuition and importantly your ability to learn new skills to develop innovations and complete projects that transform our manufacturing footprint into one that minimizes scrap and downtime and maximizes utilization. You will work closely with your colleagues to bring understanding and insights to both existing and future process developments.
A highly motivated individual will be an ideal fit for this role as it will require the learning and use of new tools within TE. **What your background should look like**:
- Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Computer/Data Science or a related field (or relevant years of experience).
- Desirable experience as Software Engineer.
- English Advanced.
- Visa (High desirable but not mandatory).
- Understanding of and experience using the following software design concepts:
- Object oriented design
- Client-server models
- Compiled vs. Interpreted execution
- Continuous Integration
- Continuous Delivery
- Unit testing
- Revision control systems
- Experience in or desire to learn the following:
- DevOps platforms like GitLab
- PLCs, Microcontrollers and microprocessors and associated firmware development (C, C++) for system design
- Servo, Stepper, AC, DC, and other motors and controllers used in industrial machinery including robotic platforms
- Functional Safety and Compliance
- Machine Simulation and Process Simulation
- Location: Hermosillo, Sonora.
- Travel: 10%-25%
