Software Engineer Junior

The ability to communicate and work proactively in a diverse environment with scientists, software developers and business people, and a keen curiosity about scientific programming and fundamental science is paramount to success in this role.**What will you do?**Responsible for initial design and development of new software and/or extensive software revisions.- Define technical requirements and build high-level architectural specifications, ensuring feasibility, functionality, and integration with existing systems/platforms.- Rely on experience and judgment to understand everyday problems and resolve them efficiently.**How will you get there?**Minimum requirements or qualifications:- BS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Physics, Mathematics or equivalently technical fields.- Passionate about building extraordinary software solutions that improve lives.- Some experience with Java, JavaScript, HTML5/CSS; other languages (C++, Ruby, Python, etc. will be considered).- Knowledge of software development standard methodologies: Agile, TDD, DDD.- Bilingual (English - Spanish). Excellent verbal and written communication skills.- Ability to document artifacts and processes then explain them to others.- Web Service design experience a plus: SOAP Request/Response handling, authentication, REST APIs.
