**JOB DESCRIPTION**:
**Position Summary**:
The Verification Test Engineer is responsible for developing and maintaining the Testing Life Cycle artifacts for the Bendix Commercial Vehicle Embedded Electronics Products and service tools. Duties shall include the creating test plans, test suites, automation of test cases, reporting results to product teams, progress reports, establishing traceability back to requirements, and the development of testing infrastructure to align with industry best practices.
**Position Essential functions**:
- Work as Development Team Member under a Scrum framework.
Architect and maintain Test Plans and Test Specifications for embedded controllers using a life cycle manager tool such as PTC Integrity.
- Architect and maintain Test Plans and Test Specifications for service tools (ACOM PRO, KB Diag., RDU, VCP)
- Responsible for defining, designing and implementing toolsets to drive test automation. (e.g. simulators, software tools and instrumentation).
- Responsible for SW Testing deliverables in support of Product Development and Commercialization Gate Reviews.
- Defining Test Plans, Test Specifications, and Test Cases at various levels (Functional, SW/HW/System Integration, Performance, Stress).
Tracking and reporting on the status of testing activities.
- Supporting the product engineering team on the Software Incident Lifecycle and problem-solving resolution (Configuration Management functions).
- Leadership maintaining testing methodologies aligned into the state-of-the-art best global practices (e.g. SAE, CTFL-ISTQB, IEEE, IATF and ISO).
**Experience**:
- Previous career experience working in the testing of control systems for commercial vehicles, automotive, or aerospace industries (module, integration, systems, functional, performance, and stress testing).
- Knowledge of embedded programming for automotive ECUs.
- Knowledge of C#, C++, Python, and XML
- Knowledge of RP1210 standard API interface.
- Knowledge of Windows, Linux, and Mobile Operating System and Configurations
- Test development and implementation using scripting languages and tools (Python, CANOE, CANAnalyzer, CANape CANDela, CANDiva, CAPL Vector Toolsets, VT System, vTest, LabView, Diadem, Visual Studio, GoogleTest, MATLAB and Simulink.)
- Experience using instrumentation equipment such as oscilloscopes, data acquisition, DMMs, Automotive Protocol Analyzers etc.
- Knowledge of one or more communication networks (CAN, J1939, J1587, ISO 14229 (UDS), J2497 (PLC4Trucks), LIN a plus).
- Experience in development and troubleshooting of setups used for testing hardware and software.
- IC or device-oriented protocol knowledge (SPI, I2C, UART, USB, Bluetooth, WiFi).
- Experience with software configuration management systems (i.e. PTC integrity).
**Experience**:
- Engineer 3: Minimum 5+ years' experience required.

**Education**:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or equivalent.
- Master's Degree in Engineering a plus

**Salary**: $11,453.85 - $65,000.00 per month
