To retain and develop top talent, we foster a work environment that celebrates creativity, encourages skill development, and enables multidisciplinary collaboration.**What you will bring to the team**The Software Test Engineer will contribute to the test efforts for solutions provided for Toshiba's Point of Sale (POS) clients.This person will be responsible for the following:- Exploratory testing- Functional testing- User scenarios Review- Test case creation- Executing test cases (via Automation framework or Manual)- Defect creation and tracking- Traceability Matrix**What you will be doing**:Your typical day as a Toshiba **Software Test Engineer II **will involve:- Review custom software design documents and participate in design review discussions. Review Agile functional specifications.- Create test cases from software design documents.- Execute test cases, report defects and track defect resolutions. Perform automation/API testing using internal and external tools (Postman, Cucumber, etc.). Perform maintenance regression software tests.- Create documentation for various initiatives including test plans, custom installation procedures, process improvements, etc.- Communicate status and identify project risks.- Perform other related duties as assigned.**Naturally To be successful in this role, you must have and know of**- BS in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering or equivalent experience.- 5+ Years' of experience in full software development life cycle.- Knowledge of software engineering best practices, including coding standards, code reviews, source control and testing- Experience in analyzing, designing, implementing and troubleshooting software solutions for highly transactional systems.- Hands-on testing background- Basic experience in Test Automation- Experience with Agile development methodology.- Responsible, organized and hard working.- HW knowledge & configuration- Meeting and adhering to programming standards and practices throughout SDLC.- Able to follow established guidelines and procedures, and meet deadlines- Proactive- Able to learn not common technologies- Able to manage sudden work priorities changes- Strong communication skills and team player with can-do attitude
