Dematic has a great opportunity for a Solution Design Project Engineer! The successful candidate will have relevant experience with designing and applying large scale material handling solutions, including leading design teams and managing material handling equipment projects. We are interested in working knowledge of mechanical design, machine controls, warehouse control software, and/or customer operations.

Tasks and Qualifications:What You Will Do in This Role: Review requirements from customer/sales team and closely collaborate with relevant internal/external stakeholders to generate executable system concepts.Lead team members, create 3D models, and generate proposal drawings to achieve concept freeze.Produce material lists and project scope of work summaries.Submit quote requests and validate vendor quotes in conjunction with procurement teams.Apply standard subsystems, designs, and modules to solutions where appropriate.Identify relevant project risks and assist with generation of mitigation strategies.Establish priorities and promote effective interaction between departments.Lead technical review and pricing reviews.Create cost breakouts and bridging as required.Responsible for all project engineering efforts for assigned projects.Capable of recognizing and understanding when to apply standard subsystems and modules.Able to apply value engineering principles to optimize the effectiveness of the system where possible.Accountable for technical, cost, and contracting aspects of projects and serves as a key contact for intra-company departments and vendors.Thoroughly understand customer RFPs, specifications, and requirements.Ensure compliance of SD project process.What We Are Looking For: 5+ Years of Experience within the fieldMechatronic EngineeringSystems EngineeringApplication EngineeringIndustrial EngineeringBulk Handling (Preferred)Case Conveyor (Preferred)PLC Control SystemsWMS/WCS SoftwareLinear SortationCrossbelt SortationASRS & Unit LoadStructural ExperiencePallet ConveyorMonorailSimulationAutostoreAbout UsIf you want to be part of keeping the world moving, the KION Group is the right place.
