Overview: Responsible for assisting the Strategic Sourcing Leader in the Global/Regional Sourcing Supply Base Strategies, focusing on critical components related to Specific Commodities.Main Responsibilities:Provide the organization with productivity and cost-saving projects to meet and/or exceed the annual objective.Execute sourcing strategies under the guidance of the Strategic Sourcing Manager in alignment with Global Supply Manager.Maintain the MRP System (SAP) database with any commercial terms such as price, incoterm, payment term, and conditions for new and current parts.Develop new vendors for the Tijuana plant, in alignment with Global and Local sourcing Manager.Coordinate quality and engineering approval for new samples.Assure Global Sourcing procedures for integration of new supplier/part are followed.Support Purchasing Area in expediting activities.Clearly convey requirements to suppliers and resolve issues.Project industry trends to implement appropriate responses and contingency measures.Lead and document the Supplier selection and reevaluation process.Solve any issues of vendor payments due to invoice discrepancies or prices.Ensure that the contracts negotiated by GSM or locally are being implemented and keep the Strategic Sourcing Leader informed.Download weekly the latest BOMs and update costs as needed & request technical documentation from suppliers requested by engineering.Requirements and Knowledge:Three to five years of experience.Bachelor's degree in International Business, Industrial Engineering, Logistics, etc.Three years in a supply chain-related function desirable.Advanced level conversational English.MRP systems knowledge - SAP preferably.MS Office 365 (Excel intermediate level).Exceptional problem-solving and analytical abilities.Previous experience in raw material procurement.Soft Skills:Ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.Negotiation.Proficiency in market research and analysis.Supplier Management.Project management.Time management.Interpersonal relationships.Empathy.Proactivity#J-18808-Ljbffr
