Develops should cost analyses to assist in setting part level target costsProvides insight and assistance to the Purchasing and Strategic Sourcing process and helps team develop strategies for sourcing, negotiations and decision-making.Analyzes the impact of cost drivers on globally sourced commodities and assists in the development of terms and conditions.Assesses and applies relevant cost data to part level routings, methods, layouts, tools, costs, methods documentation, quality plans and labor standards. Provides estimates to purchasing and engineering for target costing and supplier negotiation activities.Applies electronic tools across a broad range of applications, including electronic builds, modeling and simulationsRequired Qualifications: Degree in an Engineering/Technology discipline or equivalent experience. - University Degree (4 years or equivalent)Experience in one or more related engineering areas: industrial, production, methods, reliability, design, manufacturing, warehousing and distribution, quality. - 3 - 6 yearsExperience with shop floor manufacturing and work measurement. – greater than 1 yearExperience with engineering tools, systems and databases. - 3 - 6 yearsBackground in Engineering (fabrications, mechanical, electrical, hydraulics, power systems, etc.).Skill in using computer aided design and/or engineering toolsKnowledge of manufacturing and/or distribution processes, quality, tooling, tool design, total preventative maintenance and facilities.Skill in interpersonal communications, negotiation, and conflict resolution.Ability to independently develop new cost tools/libraries and lead D2C efforts within the business.Preferred Qualifications: Experience developing "Should Costing Analysis" using established tools (e.g. aPriori)Demonstrated results from cost savings, continuity of supply or quality improvement initiatives via supply category management.
