.Location: Guadalajara, JAL, MX, 45136- Requisition ID: 10421**Responsibilities**:The position is accountable for leading and facilitating all quality and technical aspects of the Supply Chain Quality activities and processes by providing technical guidance, leadership and input to the review, analysis and resolution of quality and conformance issues and overall supplier continuous improvement development. This position provides a continuous challenging environment with never ending opportunities to think outside of the box, be ingenious and challenge ones' abilities to solve, accomplish and over achieve.Work closely with multi-level Engineering, Purchasing and Supplier Engineering cross-functional teams for the identification and qualification of new suppliers.- Provide engineering support in developing, reviewing, and approving supplier component qualification protocols.- Support production by investigating and resolving repeated or major/critical reported supplier quality issues.- Review supplier processes to assure they are robust and repeatable.- Take an active role in Manufacturing Readiness Review activities.- Work with suppliers to improve overall performance, process control methodology and quality plans, based on quality management systems and technique (QMST) standards.- Lead supplier audit teams for new and existing suppliers, from audit preparation to closure.- Perform root cause investigation and ensure supplier corrective/preventive actions are in place.- Establish and implement inspections, test methods and inspection sampling plans to ensure performance and quality of the product meet product specifications and expectations.- Train and support suppliers on various supplier quality systems, tools and processes.- Validate material specifications are met, ensuring conformance to documented quality standards.- Participate in assigned tasks comprising of product quality enhancements, future cost reductions, process efficiency gains, and product improvements.- Provide continuous improvement ideas in productivity, efficiencies and waste reductions to help drive value innovation and cost reductions with the supply base.- Perform semi-advanced statistical analysis, utilizing statistical tools such as Cpk/Ppk, gage R&R, control-charting and DOE execution, analysis and interpretation.- Ability to travel approximately 15- 30% of time for supplier visits or business meetings (domestic and international).**Qualifications**:- BS or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or like technical discipline- Minimum of 3+ years of experience in Quality Assurance/Quality Engineering functions.- Experience and background in Contract Manufacturing operations, PCBA build and electrical testing equipment.- Electronics and understanding of electrical circuits a must.- Strong self-initiative but comfortable as a team player.- Strong Problem-Solving skills with root cause analysis and corrective and preventative action implementation experience
