.This position is responsible for the daily procurement activities of assigned categories, ensure continuity of supply, competitive pricing, quality and technical innovation by managing the assigned category spend in support of the strategic plan.What will you do?Work closely with Category Managers to set objectives for categories and agree on how value will be measured and delivered.Prepare and present to Category Managers purchasing and spend reports on a monthly basis in supplier/category spend, RFX, supplier performance, saving/productivity, DPO, and other value-indicative areas of opportunity.Execute supply market searches as required by Category Managers. Interview, research suppliers & determine those who can supply on a regional and/or local basis at the lowest overall cost to the corporation.Drive local and and regional sourcing strategies for assigned spend categories including RFQ creation, issue and analysis vendor selection.Facilitate opportunities identification and track savings and productivity of the project pipeline.Support supply agreement negotiations including reviewing and analyzing quality, service, technology, and value associated with current and proposed contracts.Responsible for ensuring that pricing and term data is accurate and current in JDE and effectively resolve all invoice price discrepancies.Assemble analysis and presentations in support of quarterly business reviews, supplier relationship management engagements, and other supplier management platforms.Develop should-cost models, market intelligence, and other value analysis as requested by Category Managers.Support rapid and comprehensive addressment of supplier performance failures as requested by the Category Managers.Escalate major supplier issues to Global Category Managers.Drive results in area of responsibility by working with internal customers.Lead and support resolving sourcing operational issues to ensure on time delivery, being also an active team member of the localization team.Participate in functional platform continuous improvement efforts including process and system implementation and enhancement.Support policy and process compliance via analysis, reporting, and assessment as required.Ensure compliance of negotiated contracts - new DOA.What do we look for:Bachelor's degree, or an equivalent mix of education and experience.+2 years of experience buying commodities or services in the chemical industry or similar market.Negotiation and communication skills.What's in it for you?Competitive pay programs with bonus opportunities in all geographies, essential to attracting and retaining global talent.2 annual days paid volunteering leave to dedicate to the cause of your choice.
