This position is responsible for initiating the sourcing process by identifying opportunities for cost containment within our current supply base and identifying new potential suppliers for qualification. This individual will also target sourcing improvements that reduce lead time, improve quality and consolidate partners.

Sourcing specialist will support multiple internal and external partners and engage in interactions across the business, as well as providing back up coverage for Buyers.
Negotiates sourcing of raw materials and/or other unprocessed materials, machinery, tools, spare parts and services necessary for the operation of the organization.. Evaluates requisitions as well as proposals by
interviewing suppliers to obtain quotes and information about their products and/or services.
Keeps updated on the regularizations applicable to the purchase, as well as the transport of national and international materials.
Coordinates with Purchasing Manager and Quality team to identify suppliers and product lines not achieving required quality standards and research alternative suppliers.
Research product line focused potential suppliers through the internet, trade publications, trade shows, and other
research. Follows and enhances the companies Supplier onboarding process including financial audit, quality audit, certifications and compliance requirements.
Participates in the achievement of the goals established in the performance(KPI).
Experience in sourcing for a manufacturer and demonstrated results in lowering costs, seeking strategic alternative
suppliers, and improving quality.
Knowledge of principles and processes to provide quality products to the customer.
Negotiation experience in a business.
Experience in international trade, transportation, purchasing and sourcing within USMCA and Asia
Knowledgeable about payment terms, freight terms, price breaks, VMI
**Skills**
Proficient with MS Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook Excel, Teams)
Effective communicator in written and oral form.
Ability to cope with and lead change effectively.
Judgment, analysis and decision making.
Ability to identify and evaluate the probability of success of an idea.
Understand work-related documents (Requisitions, quotes, P.O's)
