Expectations for the job:
As a Spanish (Latin America) Research and Localization Specialist, you will have an opportunity to provide services to one of Upwork's largest Enterprise clients. On this contract, you would focus on language data, primarily in the areas of grammar, text annotation, and general localization deliverables.

In this exciting role, you will
- Curate real-life entities where data accuracy is essential.
- Conduct research, add, edit and merge data in a large database focusing on a wide range of international topics including popular culture and media.
- Use a variety of online tools for localization and analysis, including quality assurance for word-level translations.

- You have a native level of fluency in Spanish (Latin America), both written and verbal.
- You are cultural savvy in understanding Spanish (Latin America) linguistic nuances including proper use of idiomatic expressions.
- You are highly proficient in reading and writing English.
- You have advanced analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills.
- You are tech-savvy and comfortable in learning new tools.
- You can ensure localized texts conveys the original meaning and tone.
- You have the ability to exercise independent judgment to ensure data accuracy and quality.
- You are a team player with exceptional interpersonal skills and a solution-oriented attitude.
- You are self-motivated to work independently while being able to contribute successfully to cross-functional teams
- You have excellent organizational skills, amazing work ethic and obsessive attention to detail.
- You are immediately available and able to commit to 32-40 hours of work per week.
- You have stable internet connection and a functioning webcam with your computer.
It's a plus if you
- Have translation and/or language localization experience.
- Have editing or proofreading experience.
- Have content or article writing experience.
