Arrange In & Outbound expedite shipments for NA between 3PL. Lead special freight projects with plant Engineers, Purchasing, Logistics, etc. that require quote analysis and comparison. Your Role & Responsibilities: Manages and coordinates all North American non-standard freight moves for domestic and international (tooling, equipment, prototypes, air freight, etc.) Primary contact to facilitate conference calls and meetings between plant engineers, logistics and foreign suppliers to coordinate/arrange international shipments or special projects Reviews plant import and export documents for special or non-contracted freight to ensure import/export compliance Provide support on special freight projects with plant Engineers, Purchasing, Logistics, etc. that require quote analysis and comparison Analysis, oversight, and guidance on the freight forwarder's rate/lane matrix for accuracy and add or delete lanes as required. Review matrix against carrier performance (transit time, claims, invoicing accuracy). Review and provide cost savings/avoidance opportunities (CIP) and record in the internal reporting system. Responsible for tracking and reporting Special Freight measurables (Root Cause Analysis). Ensure necessary freight service with best cost approach and the compliance with the MAHLE approval and signature guidelines. Cargo Base – Standard Process Tool for the Region NA. Responsible for the first part of the audit of expedited freight invoices. Your Skills & Strengths: Bachelor's Business Administration, or related discipline, from a four-year college or university. Bilingual. Preference will be given to candidates who are fluent in English and Spanish. Reasoning ability. 0 - 1 years of experience in logistics planning in the automotive industry. Minimum of 6 months of related experience, preferably covering all areas of responsibility for this position. Ability to handle projects with multiple workstreams. Proven planning abilities, including successful execution of such plans. SAP proficiency is strongly preferred. #J-18808-Ljbffr
