.Req ID: 115219Remote Position: HybridRegion: AmericasCountry: MexicoState/Province: Nuevo LeonCity: Monterrey**Job Overview**: Receive, process, negotiate & submit material cost solution for new business opportunities (bids & awards) & manage appropriate validation of customer re-pricing**Major Duties & Responsibilities**:- Manages supplier RFQ process for specific Commodity group (Hardware parts) across multiple projects to ensure all costing due dates are achieved.- Lead component level supplier negotiations to establish competitive cost solutions.- Drive supplier growth scorecard performance improvement.- Commodity expertise - depth knowledge of key commodity price drivers & sensitivities, performs general pricing & supply market trend analytics.- Supplier expertise - understands key suppliers and develop effective supplier relationships- Develop & execute commodity strategy including competitive benchmarking, delivering a commodity strategy enabling the overall program strategy, supplier analysis, development & selection.- Able to identify and justify alternate component solutions.- Able to provide competitive cost estimate for complex parts (Bid only)- Provides insight and recommendations to support proposed solutions to key stakeholders.- Updates material prices database, analyzes components for competitiveness and customer compliance, review with management.- Drives continuous improvement initiatives**Experience**:- 3 - 6 years experience (aligned to position seniority) in purchasing, commodity or engineering environment**General Skills, Knowledge, Competencies**:- Excellent analytical, negotiation and problem resolution skills to enable ongoing incremental results- Ability to proactively resolve issues & problems internally and externally- Relentless focus on continuous improvement- Delivers flawless execution with an effective management system- Significant skills required in multi-tasking and time management- Ability to effectively project manage, influence and motivate a diverse group of team members, potentially based in multiple countries- Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, with a wide variety of internal and external customers- Excellent negotiation skills.- Able to work assertively cross-functionally and with other sites to achieve objectives- Supply Chain experience - Commercial aptitude & awareness at component, commodity level or industry level.- Able to compare products and identify feature and technical differences.- Read and can understand technical drawings- Supplier Knowledge - Preferred Supplier Listings / Associated alternatives / Component Part Numbering / Franchised Distribution- Strong technical experience with associated commodity- Strong systems skills, including common office platforms such as MS Office and Access.- Ability to consolidate, manipulate and analyze large quantities of data
