.Job DescriptionLocation: Torreón, CoahuilaPosition: Specialist, Supply ChainObjective:Manage suppliers demand and logistics to support production adherence and delivery to customers.
Maintain inventory levels of material according to company goals.
Reduce excess & obsolete material ensuring timely arrival of materials in small lot sizes with optimum freight cost.
Coordinate and provide support to Plant with critical shortages, balance outs, ramp up/down, and new projects.
Act as Plant Champion Lead Coordinator.Responsibilities/Skills:Schedule and run MRP by Plant according to Standard Process.Support BTS (manufacturing) and FG shipments to end customers.Follow up on shortages report based on coverages and due dates.Provide information related to quantities, ETA (estimated time arrivals), tracking #, and carrier information to Plant Operations Group, Demand Management, and Commercial Team.Conduct escalation meetings with Suppliers, Plant Operations, and Commercial Group for shortages follow up.Negotiate with suppliers for order improvements/cancellations.Identify and implement cost savings initiatives.Integrate business processes and IT systems of suppliers.Communicate suppliers' performance and risk items in advance to expose issues that may prevent supporting production plans.Handle supplier communication regarding delivery performance issues.Support coordination of Engineering changes and ramp up/downs with suppliers and Supply Chain Analyst.Review and propose alternative options with Suppliers, Program Management, Plant Engineers, Commercial, and Materials when a shortage is detected.Attend scheduled meetings with EDS and Components Plants/Program Management to provide answers related to shortages for launches, balance outs, and new projects.Support Supply Chain Analysts with technical assistance and follow up.Participate, suggest, and coordinate Logistics Initiatives (PKC/XPO).Prepare and coordinate information between Suppliers and Purchasing for improving initiatives implementation.Review and coordinate data with Supply Chain Analysts, A/P, Purchasing, and Materials Receiving associates for missing payments.Coordinate information with import-export departments (supplier & PKC) and Supply Chain analyst to expedite raw material in Mexico through "Virtual Pedimentos."Request Root Cause Analysis from suppliers, Reaction and Recovery Plans for potential items affecting BTS Harness Plant(s) and/or any Shipment to End Customer when Supplier is liable.Conduct escalation meetings with Suppliers and Manufacturers.Ensure organizational compliance with inventory management policies, contractual requirements, and governmental regulations.
Identify, analyze, develop, and implement best practices, processes, and procedures for Supply Chain Management.Support and participate in training and development programs.Analyze KPI data, trends, and projections based on EDI customer demand
