This is an exciting opportunity to support the LEGO Group compliance initiatives as you join a growing business in an international department with colleagues spread all over the world.
**Core Responsibilities**:
Support the preparation of tax compliance returns and tax accounting and controlling through:
- Preparation and validation of data relevant for CIT and VAT tax returns and other statutory reporting to be sent to third party service provider. Automate and standardize tax data reporting through SAP/BI reports or seeking support for other automation tools such as RPA or advanced analytics.
- Reconciling tax Accounts, validating output and identifying of high-risk transactions through analysis.
- Ensure proper documentation practices are followed and supporting files are "audit ready" Tax Accounting.
- Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual tax consolidation workbooks.
- Perform month end close, inclusive of tax payments and settlements, tax accruals and returns to provision, maintain process documentation and user guides related to tax processes.
- Perform and document tasks and controls.
- Collaborate with process and data specialists to facilitate the improvement and/or transition of tax governance, control, and related compliance processes. Investigate tax incidents and support tax leadership with investigation.
- Contribute to tax issue log through documenting tax incident.
- Investigate Issue Log Findings & Review to determine root causes related to process flow and master data, audit Support.
- Support Regional Tax Ops Manager on tax audits or inquiries through data preparation and collaboration with BSO teams and other supporting departments.

The Accounting Services organization consists of the Tax Operations & Compliance (ToC) team and General Ledger (GL) teams operating within the LEGO Business Service Operations (BSO). Within BSO, the ToC team is responsible for meeting the global tax and statutory compliance requirements and the GL team is responsible for the maintenance of the general ledger and preparation of the consolidation reports. The department balances a mix of internal resources and third parties to efficiently meet global compliance requirements. The department focuses on transparent and accurate status reporting, maintaining a strong internal control framework, using technology and standard processes to meet its operational targets and satisfy partners.
The role will require a self-starter mentality and a progressive drive to bring in continuously improved processes into the ToC department. The performance is determined not only on the stated objectives but on the collaboration and service management provided to partners. Also, the role is encouraged to bring innovative ideas and challenge existing practices to meet partner needs.
**Do you have what it takes?**:
- Bachelor's in accounting or finance, CPA.
- Accounting / Tax Certifications.
- 3+ years' experience of relevant tax experience.
- Experience in implementing internal controls related to tax processes.
- Able to recommend improvements to data structures to enhance reporting capabilities via equipped end-to-end thinking and lean concepts.
- Ability to document new or change of processes in flow chart and narratives.
- Ability to work independently to drive successful completion of projects, compliance objectives, and identification of improvements in execution.
- Ability to collaborate globally with internal partners, global third-party service providers, and compliance bodies.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
