As the Superintendent of Supplier Quality Assurance & Shipping at our Global Shared Plants (GSP) division, you will play a crucial role in maintaining and enhancing the quality standards of our manufacturing processes. You will coordinate vital activities related to incoming inspections and supplier qualifications, ensuring that our quality objectives meet both internal standards and customer expectations.
Our Team
You will be part of the Quality team, reporting directly to the Manager of Quality. This dynamic team oversees quality assurance processes across various business units within the GSP division, headquartered in Guadalajara. Collaborating closely with Quality Incoming Inspection, Shipping QA, and Supplier Quality Engineers, our team is committed to achieving excellence in product quality and reliability.
What You Will Do
Coordinate activities related to incoming inspections and supplier qualification.
Implement strategic quality plans to achieve established targets within the designated business units.
Maintain a healthy quality system and ensure adherence to quality management standards such as IATF 16949, ISO 9001, and ISO 13485.
Lead supplier corrective action processes and evaluate new material samples.
Supervise SQA engineering activities including MRB meetings and inspection plan setups.
Foster strong supplier/customer relationships and facilitate supplier performance evaluations.
Collaborate on New Product Introduction and APQP activities while supporting internal and external audits.
Lead and motivate quality improvement teams to address escalated quality issues.
Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)
Engineering degree with at least 3 years of experience in supplier development and incoming inspection coordination.
Proficient in core quality tools and methodologies such as SPC, PPAP, FMEA, GD&T, and Control Plans.
Strong decision-making skills and ability to maintain confidentiality.
Excellent communication skills in English and proficient in using SAP and Microsoft Office Suite.
Ability to travel to various Molex facilities and customer/supplier locations as needed.
What Will Put You Ahead
Postgraduate degree in a related field.
Experience with quality management system audits and knowledge of customer requirements (e.g., VDA, BIQS, MSA-Q1, FDA).
Demonstrated problem-solving skills, including knowledge of 8D and Six Sigma methodologies.
Proven leadership abilities and experience working in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
Familiarity with regulatory standards such as UL, CSA, and others related to Molex de México operations.
